About Premium Shui Jin Gui Oolong

Shui Jin Gui is one of the very rare Wuyi rocky oolong teas that belongs to the famous Wuyi ‘Cong’ family. Our premium Shui Jin Gui comes from the Bai Yun Rock located inside the scenic area of Wuyi Mountain in Fujian Province. It is one of the high-quality and premium ‘Zheng Yan’ Wuyi Rocky Oolong teas.

It has a unique floral aroma of wintersweet and an obvious rocky taste, favoured by many tea lovers.

Appearance & Taste

Premium Shui Jin Gui Oolong

The tea leaves of Shui Jin Gui are long, tight and slightly twisted. The colour is oily dark. The edge of the fresh tea leaves is corrugated and deep.

The tea soup is in bright orange-yellow without any impurities. It is thick and mellow with an obvious floral aroma of wintersweet. As it comes from the Bai Yun Yan, the rocky taste of the tea is overwhelming.

Taste: Floral, Rocky, Sweet, Wintersweet

Origin

Wuyi Mountain

This Shui Jin Gui was produced in Bai Yun Rock located in the west of the scenic area of Wuyi Mountain in Fujian Province. The altitude there is relatively high, surrounded by clouds. There are a lot of sheer precipices and overhanging rocks off the beaten track. The ancient trees are ringed with dense leaves and shade. This primitive natural environment provides superior conditions for the growth of tea trees.

The soil with the weathered rocky surface there is rich in minerals & microelements and has very good air permeability which is good for drainage. The natural environment leads to the slow growth of tea trees which also means they can absorb the nutrient substance from the rocky soil adequately, which results in its unique taste.

Origin: Fujian

This tea is so mellow, it has such a smooth flavour and mouthfeel. Worth the money for the quality of this tea, very light sweetness with a classic oolong floral flavour.
