About Zheng Shan Tang Aged Fir Narcissus Black Tea

This black tea is produced in the Tongmu Village, Wuyishan City, in Fujian province by Zheng Shan Tang. The raw material is the tea buds that are picked from century-old tea trees growing in the selected tea garden whose sea level is above 1200-1500 meters. Almost 30,000 to 50,000 tea buds can only produce 500g of the Aged Fir Narcissus black tea.

Tongmu Village is considered the best for growing superior black tea. It is highly recommended for those with a keen eye for quality.

Appearance & Taste

Zheng Shan Tang Aged Fir Narcissus Black Tea

The dry tea is symmetry and tight with plenty of golden fuzzy. The colour of it is gold alternating with black, black in the majority. The tea soup is clear transparent golden, with an obvious golden circle.

The taste of it is very mellow with a compound aroma of fruit, flower and honey. The aftertaste is lingering and long-lasting. Due to that it is over 100 years, it has a very special wooden and reed leaves fragrance.

  • Warm the Gaiwan with hot water; discard the water afterward
  • Add 3g of Zheng Shan Tang Aged Fir Narcissus Black Tea into Gaiwan
  • Pour 100°C hot water
  • Infuse tea for around 3s-5s for the first brew, then 5-10s for the second brew, extending an extra infusion time for the following brew (no more than 15s).
  • Pour the steeped tea into a serving cup and divided into small teacups and serve
  • Can repeat more than 12 times according to personal taste

Wuyi Mountain

Their home – Wuyishan Nature Reserve has a subtropical monsoon climate. This very famous natural reserve, which is 96.3% forest, provides an advantageous natural environment for growing tea. The average altitude of the main producing area is about 1,200 meters. For almost 120 days a year, it is misty. The annual average temperature is around 11–18°C and the average precipitation about 2,000mm. The soil pH is 4.5 to 5.
