2016雨林屹立古茶樹普洱茶來自於勐海雨林，此茶原料產自中國雲南省西雙版納州的原始森林。 在中國各大茶商中，雨林公司獨獨以其手工製作的古樹普洱茶而聞名，其普洱茶所用的材料幾乎是來自於天然生長的普洱古樹。僅選用古樹普洱茶樹上的鮮葉來製作。雨林的最低採摘標準是一芽兩葉，它對於普洱茶的質量要求非常嚴格，由雨林生產的一些普洱茶餅甚至是由一芽一葉製作而成的。 在加工過程中，他們只讓當地最了解普洱古樹的少數民族的製茶師傅在他們的村莊里製作普洱茶餅。幾乎所有雨林茶都是用手工製作而成的。
