太平猴魁屬於綠茶尖茶，產於安徽省黃山一帶，因其“甘香如蘭，幽而不冽，啜之淡然，似乎無味。飲用後，覺有一種太和之氣，彌淪於齒頰之間，此無味之味，乃至味也” 的韻味而久負盛名。
2007年3月26日，國家主席胡錦濤出席在俄羅斯舉辦的 “中國國家年” 展覽會，並贈送了四種安徽名茶，包括太平猴魁和黃山毛峰作為俄羅斯總統普京的禮物。而作為國家禮品，太平猴魁無疑是’一流’的綠茶，綠茶中的極品。
我們的這款太平猴魁來自於安徽黃山市黃山區猴坑村，屬於柿大葉土種（群體種）。採用最傳統的純手工捏尖工藝製作而成。其蘭花香氣仙靈，滋味醇厚，回甘棉柔而爽口。

此款太平猴魁产自于安徽黄山市黄山区猴坑村，是太平猴魁核心产区之一，是极品太平猴魁的诞生地。
这里海拔700多米，位于黄山区（原太平县）城北约十八公里的一个高山地区，位于神奇的北纬30度间，有适宜茶树生长的大气候环境，平均降雨量在1556.0毫米，年均相对湿度79%，每年有雾天达240多天，年平均日照时间1727.4小时，日照百分率40%。茶园在高山上，受惠于局地环流对温度的调节，阴雨天气，山上云雾重重，置身云雾中，降温增湿，茶园坡向偏东（及阴坡），减少辐射接数量，形成上午温度高，光照足，温度适宜；下午温度低，光照弱，温度要比平地的生态气象因素。宽阔的太平湖水域环抱猴魁产茶区，常年雾气蒸腾，大水体效应显著，进一步优化了猴魁茶区的小气候环境。
其次，形成猴魁茶独特香气和口感的因素是猴坑一带的土壤。这里的土壤主要是千枚岩和花岗岩、页岩的风化物，以扁石黄壤类型为主，土壤深厚肥沃，有机层厚，腐殖质含量丰富，含有丰富的茶叶生长必需的微量元素。PH值在5.5左右之间，猴坑诸位的凤凰尖、狮形尖、鸡公尖三座三峰海拔都在800米以上，茶园大多分布在坐南朝北，半阴半阳山坡上，四周植被繁密，森林覆盖率在90%以上，主要树种为常绿阔叶林、竹林等。这些优良条件可以防止水土流失，减少茶树受寒风烈日的侵袭，树木落叶增加了土壤有机质的含量，在茶季，漫山野兰花有助于茶叶兰花香气的形成，基本属于有机化状态。

原材料：太平猴魁為“二葉抱一芽”，要求芽葉肥壯，芽尖和葉尖長度需要對齊。而實際上在採茶的時候，茶農是採摘一芽帶上三到四片芽葉，之後在工廠進行再加工時，再除去多餘的第三第四片葉子。其目的是為了確保第一第二片葉子的形狀不會在採摘過程中被破壞。

Easily my favourite tea of the six I purchased, the quality is obvious. Like all good hui cha there is a degree of minerality even in their green tea, and the soup is very balanced, without any bitterness, and the orchid aroma wafts over to you as it steeps.
The leaves are uniform and have no defect; ‘two knives, one pole’. The soup is rich and the three heatings have been done very well. The tea is so rich and sweet you can eat the dry leaves and the small bitterness wont bother you.
Usually from Anhui I will drink Huo Qing, but this may be a new favourite when I would like something more delicate.
